The Rotary Club of Roundhay are delighted to announce the 5th Annual North Leeds Charity Beer Festival.
Since the inaugural charity beer festival in 2012 it has raised over £15k for charities.
Some of this money has supported local projects including: Gipton Together, John Jamieson School, St Gemma’s Hospice, Leeds Children’s Hospital, Sylvia Wright Trust and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards as well as supporting Rotary Education and water projects and Disaster relief where it is needed.
Last year was our best result to date raising over £5,500.
North Leeds Cricket Club have invited us back to organize this year’s event and in April 2016 we hope to improve on last year’s impressive target.
The 2016 theme will be Wales v Yorkshire Beers, aka Tykes v Taffies.
We will have 18 cask ales from Wales going head-to-head with 18 from Leeds. As in previous festivals we will also have a selection of local cider on offer too.
The bar at North Leeds Cricket Club will be open for the total duration of the festival to purchase non-alcoholic beverages and alternative drinks.
The ever popular Wilson’s of Crossgates famous pork pies will again be served throughout the festival.
As well as beer the festival has gained a reputation for great music from local bands and performers and this year will be no exception with great music being performed over the 3 days.
Sunday is a family day and we welcome families to come along and join in the fun.
What better way than helping to raise money for charity than enjoying yourself in the company of friends, or making new friends, trying new beers and listening to a musical experience!!!
